Mr Peter Creedon, a farmer, of Tullytredda, Macroom, has pleaded not guilty at Cork Circuit Criminal Court to 13 charges relating to the illegal movement of cattle. They include handling a stolen animal, giving false or misleading information, attempting to obtain money by false pretences from the Department of Agriculture and moving untagged animals.

Mr Donal McCarthy, prosecuting, said the alleged offences were breaches of the regulations laid down to control the movement, health and identification of cattle.
