Cash stolen in Balbriggan bank robbery

Two men, one armed with a handgun, held up bank staff in Balbriggan, Co Dublin, this morning.

Two men, one armed with a handgun, held up bank staff in Balbriggan, Co Dublin, this morning.

The Garda said the robbers escaped with "a small amount of cash" during the raid at the Bank of Ireland on Drogheda Street, at 11.30 a.m.

Neither man covered his face and Gardaí have issued a public appeal for information.
