A development company’s bid to obtain judgment against Irish rugby international Ronan O’Gara was struck out in the Dublin County Registrar’s court today.

He is among dozens of investors currently facing court action over alleged attempts to escape from property deals they made at the peak of the boom.

O’Gara, of Belgard Downs, Rochestown, Cork, is being sued by Dublin’s Spencer Dock Development Company Ltd.

The company, of Connaught House, Burlington Road, Dublin, is pursuing investors for “specific performance” orders directing them to complete pre-recession deals for apartments.

County Registrar Susan Ryan had earlier been told O’Gara was attempting to close the sale of a docklands development property and extended time for entering an appearance. The proceedings have been adjourned for another fortnight.
