London - A woman care worker was yesterday suspended from her job after it was found that she was on the list of 28 "missing" people named in the report into child abuse in care homes in north Wales.
The unnamed woman, from the West Midlands, was working in a position which might have involved contact with children, the Department of Health said last night. She was the only one of the 28 found to be working with youngsters in a massive 48-hour search involving every local authority, health authority and NHS trust in England and Wales.
