PARIS - Jean Paul Belmondo and Alain Delon, once the biggest box office draws in French film, have jointly complained they were not invited to the annual Cannes film festival which opened yesterday.

"For this festival of the French cinema industry, they invited [American star] Pamela Anderson and not us. Something is rotten somewhere," Mr Delon told the weekly Paris Match.
