Gardaí in Co Leitrim have seized cannabis with an estimated street value of €200,000 following a planned search of a premises in the county last night.
Eight people - seven men and a woman - were arrested during the operation in Aughaginny, Drumshambo at 9pm.
Four of the individuals, including the woman, are being held in Sligo. Two are being held in Carrick on Shannon and the other 2 in Manorhamilton.
The eight are being detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act and can be held up to seven days.
