A small time drug dealer seen selling cannabis in Dublin's north inner city was jailed for six years yesterday. Sentencing Patrick Farrell at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, Judge Cyril Kelly said if one knew the north inner city, one would know the tragedy visited on many families there because of drugs. Farrell (44), of Attracta Road, Dublin, was convicted of possessing cannabis worth about £500 for sale or supply at Rory O'Connor House, Hardwicke Street on May 4th, 1995.
