The Fianna Fail leader, Mr Ahern, has called on the Government to finance the case being taken by four Co Louth residents against British Nuclear Fuels plc.
At a party function in Connemara last night, Mr Ahern said the fact that the Government had allowed the litigants access to documents and files "merely demonstrates Irish citizens' rights to public information from a Government which still has to come up with their promised freedom of information Bill".
