US President George W. Bush has said the new Iraqi interim government represented a broad cross section of society and had the "talent" to guide the nation.
"(U.N. special envoy) Mr. (Lakhdar) Brahimi has recommended a team that possesses the talent, commitment, the resolve to guide Iraq through the challenges that lie ahead," Bush told a news conference at the White House Rose Garden.
