New Delhi - A strike by more than 13,000 private bus operators yesterday forced thousands of Indians to walk to work in the capital. Hundreds of schools were forced to close and many offices worked with reduced staff. Buses in Delhi carry more than seven million commuters a day. Operators object to a Supreme Court ruling which stipulates that no one with less than 10 years' driving experience may drive school buses.
