Threats of disruption to Bus Eireann services next Monday have receded following progress n talks with unions. The unions had threatened industrial action if the company pressed ahead with plans to introduce changes to its Waterford minibus services from Monday.

However, the company has agreed to defer the implementation date and both sides are to enter negotiations on all aspects of the company's viability plan next week.
