MARAMVYA - Hutu peasants accused Burundian troops yesterday of killing more than 70 civilians in a village last Sunday in an attack to clear Hutu rebels.

They said about 100 troops and Tutsi youths burned houses and shot and hacked to death villagers at Murengeza, 20 km north of the capital Bujumbura.
