Gardai are investigating the death of a construction worker after he was struck by a vehicle while standing on the road outside a building site in Rathdrum, Co Wicklow this afternoon.
He was named tonight as Colin Broughan (35) with an address at Greystones, Co Wicklow.
According to a Garda statement Mr Broughan was caught between a van and a vehicle towing a dumper truck at Union Lane at 8.30am.
He was taken to Loughlinstown Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
