Budget `worsened inequities'

Mandate has accused the Government of exacerbating inequalities in the tax system with its last Budget. Proposing a campaign for a comprehensive reform of the tax system, Mr Willy Carroll of the union's southern division said the tax and other political scandals of recent months would not have come to light but for a Dunnes family squabble.
