The chairman of the Blood Transfusion Service Board, Mr Joe Holloway, has been asked by the Government to remain on until December 1998, The Irish Times learned yesterday. Mr Holloway's term of office was due to expire today. Mr Holloway became chairman of the BSTB after retiring as Secretary of the Department of Energy.
