Britain's largest pay-TV company, BSkyB restored the company's dividend this morning, and enjoyed a rise in first-half earnings.

The results come as new Chief Executive Mr James Murdoch continues his quest to win over investors.

BSkyB had suspended its dividend for several years while it rolled out its digital TV service, but it announced today an interim dividend of 2.75 pence per share.
