THE Taoiseach, Mr John Bruton, issued the following statement after the bombing in London:
THIS resumption of violence, by whomsoever organised, is entirely unjustified. I condemn it without reservation.
It is damaging to the interests of all the people in Ireland, and throughout the world, who have been working tirelessly to "bring permanent peace to this island.
I call on all who may have any influence on those responsible for this appalling act to use that influence publicly as well as privately to ensure that no further acts of violence take place.
My sympathy goes to those who have been injured in this evening's bombing in London.
