The fifth annual summit between the European Union and Japan will take place on September 30th in Tokyo.
The Taoiseach, Mr Bruton, and the President of the European Commission, Mr Jacques Santer, will meet the Japanese Prime Minister, Mr Ryutaro Hashimoto, to discuss political ties, EU Japan trade and investment, and strengthening the partnership between the EU and Japan.
