Two brothers who got into trouble off Achill Island came ashore safely yesterday morning after a joint sea search by the Achill lifeboat, the Air Corps helicopter at Finner and the Achill Irish Marine Emergency Service.

Mr John Lenehan got into difficulty when he tried to get to Inish Biggle in his currach on Thursday at 11 p.m. His brother, Andrew, attempted to rescue him but got into difficulties in a force 8 gale.
