A police officer died after he was stabbed in a British town centre today.
Two other men were also injured in the attack in Luton, Bedfordshire, shortly after 7am. A man has been arrested.
The policeman (36) was taken to hospital but died of his injuries. The two other injured were also taken to hospital.
Witnesses to the stabbing, in the centre of the town, said earlier that the first victim was a window cleaner. A passer-by who came to help and then the police officer were injured in the ensuing scuffle.
