The British Labour Party is to end its 15 year opposition to the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

The move, announced by the Home Secretary, Mr Jack Straw, was sparked by IRA's new bombing campaign and Labour fears of growing public anger if the party continued voting against laws aimed at helping police catch bombers.
