Brady named head of takeover panel

The Irish Takeover Panel has appointed Rory Brady to position of chairman.

Mr Brady’s has been appointed for a three-year term, effective immediately. His appointment follows the resignation of Daniel O’Keefe who recently became a judge of the High Court.

Mr Brady served as Attorney General from 2002 until 2007 and was a member of the Council of State for the same period.

The Irish Takeover Panel is the statutory body responsible for monitoring and supervising takeovers and other relevant transactions in relation to securities in relevant companies in Ireland.
