Two 11-year-old schoolboys were shot with an air pistol by a teenager, who fired on them in a Dublin schoolyard yesterday. The two boys were hit in the hand but the pellets did not pierce their skin and neither required hospital treatment. In what gardai believe is one of the first incidents of its kind in the State, two youths entered the yard of St Kevin's National School in Kilmanagh, Tallaght, during the lunch break. They walked over to some children and the youth with the gun fired on the two boys. They then made off on foot. Gardai are following a "definite line of inquiry".
