The man whose body was recovered from the river Boyne on Thursday has been identified as Mr Paul Nugent (33), of Windmill Road, Drogheda. Mr Nugent was single and unemployed. He was seen falling into the Boyne at The Horse Lane, Drogheda, shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday.

The body of a Mayo man, missing since last week, was recovered from the River Moy at Foxford, Co Mayo, yesterday. The man has been named as Martin Conwell (38), a single man from the town.
