Athens - A 20-month-old Greco-Egyptian boy was returned to his parents in Greece yesterday after being held in Egypt for more than a month by his maternal Muslim grandparents, the Greek foreign ministry announced.

The child was accompanied by his grandmother and the Greek consul-general from Alexandria. The ministry thanked Egyptian authorities for their "important assistance that helped bring a happy ending to the story".
