Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting of a 10-year-old boy in Drogheda this evening.
The boy was hit in the head with a pellet when an air rifle was accidentally discharged in a house in the town.
He was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.
