A 15-year-old Co Westmeath boy died in hospital last night from injuries he received in a road accident at the weekend.
He had been involved in a collision with a car while cycling on Abbey Road, Clonbrush in Athlone at 9.30 p.m. on Saturday. He was taken to Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe before being transferred to Dublin's Beaumont Hospital.
