Gardai and the Eastern Health Board were last night searching for a 14-year-old boy in health board care who absconded while on an outing to see the Tall Ships in Dublin.
The boy, who has recently been before the courts, was "being cared for in a specialised unit suitable to his needs", run by the Eastern Health Board, a spokeswoman said.
