An eight-year-old Co Donegal boy died yesterday when he fell from the tow-bar of a trailer on which he had hitched a ride at Mart Road, Stranorlar. The boy was playing with his brother when the accident happened.
In Clare, the body of a 32-year-old local man was recovered from the beach near Ballyvaughan yesterday evening. The man had gone swimming at 10 a.m. When he failed to return home his brother began a search and found the body.
