Boy (15) killed in north Dublin crash

A 15-year-old boy has died after the car he was driving crashed in Dublin early this morning.

A 15-year-old boy has died after the car he was driving crashed in Dublin early this morning.

Gardaí said the teenager died when the car hit a tree on Greendale Road in Raheny shortly before 4am.

Gardaí believe that the Nissan Micra involved in the crash was stolen. They are also investigating whether there were one or more passengers in the car at the time of the crash.

A spokesman said the vehicle was not being pursued by gardaí at the time of the crash. The boy was taken to Beaumont Hospital after the crash where he was pronounced dead.
