A 13-year-old boy drowned in the River Suir in Co Tipperary this afternoon.
The child got into difficulty in the river near Cashel.
The boy was recovered from the river but efforts to revive him failed.
He was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
