Berlin - A German court yesterday sentenced a Bosnian refugee to seven years in prison for hijacking an Austrian Airlines aircraft in January en route from Berlin to Vienna.
Salko Loncaric (40), a Bosnian roofer who has been living in Germany since 1992, had confessed at the start of the trial, saying his aim was to secure a German residency permit. - (Reuter)
