Sarajevo - Bosnia's second post-war general elections closed yesterday after two days of voting which got off to a shaky start due to a computer glitch but came to an end without any election-related violence.
"We are extremely pleased with the way things have gone," said Ms Nicole Szulc of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), which organised the election. Final turnout figures would not be available until this afternoon and preliminary results might start coming in tomorrow, she said.
Faulty computers delayed or prevented thousands of angry and frustrated Bosnians from voting on Saturday.
