A bookmaker, charged with 39 counts of betting irregularities, is to appear at the Cork District Court on February 27th

A bookmaker, charged with 39 counts of betting irregularities, is to appear at the Cork District Court on February 27th. Mr William (Liam) Cashman, of Ardfallen, Douglas, Cork, is facing three separate charges in respect of his betting office at Sullivan's Quay.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between January and March last year. When the case was mentioned in court yesterday, Mr Brian Russell, solicitor for Mr Cashman, indicated his client would be pleading not guilty.
