A reference book on adoption has been published by the Adoptive Parents' Association of Ireland.
The 180-page book includes sections on tracing, foreign adoptions, aspects of rearing adopted children and Irish adoption legislation.
It lists children's homes and institutions and de-registered adoption societies, together with current adoption societies. It is compiled and edited by the APAI's secretary, Ms Helen Gilmartin, and costs £6.50 plus £1 postage.
