An explosion shook the Indonesian election commission building in central Jakarta today ahead of the planned announcement of presidential election results.

At least 50 police set up a cordon around the building, which was being evacuated after the explosion.

It is not known whether election officials, who were due to shortly announce the final count for Indonesia's July 5th presidential election, will go ahead with the announcement today.

President Megawati Sukarnoputri will face her former security minister in a run-off in September.
