Tel Aviv - A small bomb exploded in a bin near Tel Aviv's central synagogue yesterday, injuring 21 people and dealing yet another blow to stalemated Israeli-Palestinian peace efforts.

No one claimed responsibility for the bombing, the first in a year in Israel, but it followed vows by radical Islamic groups to strike Israel in response to US raids on alleged terrorist sites in Sudan and Afghanistan.
