The body of a man has been recovered from Lough Derg in Co Clare.
A Coastguard helicopter from Shannon searching for a missing kayaker located the body near Caher Island.
Lifeboat and Coastguard personnel removed it from the water shortly after 3pm said a spokesman.The body was taken to hospital for a post mortem examination. The name of the dead man has not yet been released.
