The body of a Cork woman in her 60s was recovered from the sea at Fountainstown early yesterday morning. The woman, who was not named, lived in Wilton in the city. Her car was discovered after a fishermen brought the body ashore.
Gardai at Carrigaline, Co Cork, said foul play was not suspected.
