London - The body of 13-year-old Claire Hart was found by police in a river yesterday near the spot where she was last seen on her way to school.
The teenager, described by residents in her home village of Eaton in Cheshire as a happy, lively but naive girl who looked young for her age, went missing last Thursday morning.
An exhaustive search for her finished at 12.50 p.m. yesterday when her body was spotted in five feet of water near a weir on the River Dane.
