Police are tonight investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a flat in the outskirts of Belfast.

Police are tonight investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a flat in the outskirts of Belfast.

The body was discovered shortly before 3 p.m. at Gleneagles Gardens in the loyalist Ballybeen Estate in the east of the city.

Although police are treating the incident as murder, they have not indicated how the man died.

The area around the flat was sealed off while officers carried out an examination.

Police at Castlereagh have appealed to anyone who was in the Gleneagles Gardens area in the past 24 hours to contact them.
