The body of an elderly man was found this morning in a river in Co Cork.
The discovery was made in Tramore River, near Douglas, shortly after 8am.
The area has been cordoned and officers are due to begin a technical examination.
A Garda spokesman said the death is not believed to be suspicious.
"The man's body will be removed to Cork University Hospital later today where a post mortem will be carried out," he added.
