Police in Cyprus searching for a missing US diplomat have found a body in a remote mountain area this morning.
It is too early to confirm the identity of the body, found in the Lefka region, northwest of the capital Nicosia.
Police have been looking for US embassy attache Thomas Mooney for the past four days. He had disappeared on June 28th.
The US embassy did not make any immediate comment.
A farmer found the car and the body on a dirt track and alerted authorities.
