Northamptonshire - The body of a woman, buried some 2,400 years ago and believed to be the first witch in England, has been discovered in Northamptonshire.

The archaeological evidence suggests she was buried alive, face down, tightly bound, and wearing a unique lead collar which may have been a symbolic weight to keep her in her grave.

The skeleton has been carbon-dated to around 400 BC.
