The bodies of two Turkish hostages have been found north of the Iraqi town of Baiji, apparently shot dead, Arabic television station Al Jazeera reported on today.

The station did not give further details.

At least four Turks have been kidnapped in Iraq this month, two on August 5th, one on August 7th and one on August 16th.

Two Turkish companies working in Iraq, Sa-Ra and Usluer, have said they will leave the country after their employees were seized from their workplace by Iraqi insurgents.

Several Turkish firms have already withdrawn from Iraq amid security concerns for their personnel.

Scores of foreign workers in Iraq have been kidnapped since April. Many have been released but some have been killed.
