The Mid Western Health Board has obtained an Emergency Care Order in the District Court restraining a mother from removing her 12 year old, daughter from the Limerick Regional Hospital.

The child had been admitted last weekend suffering from diabetes but was removed by the mother, allegedly against medical advice.

The mother, who was said to be a foreign national, resides at a hostel in Ennis.
