Police are investigating an assault on a man in Co Derry last night during which a blank round was fired from a pistol.
The incident took place shortly after 8pm in Windsor Avenue, Coleraine.
Three masked men forced open the front door of the house and attacked the man with a baton before firing a blank round and escaping.
The victim sustained bruising to the chest but did not require treatment in hospital.
