London - The Prime Minister, Mr Tony Blair, stepped up his assault on Mr Ken Livingstone, the left-wing contender for mayor of London. He warned Labour Party members to "get serious" and choose a heavyweight for the job.
Mr Blair supports Mr Frank Dobson, who has failed to match Mr Livingstone's populist campaign to win Labour's nomination.
