The Irish Catholic bishops have expressed a "fervent hope" for permanent peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland. They called, in a statement issued from their summer Bishops' Conference at Maynooth, for the continued prayers for God's blessing on the current political talks and for their successful conclusion.
