Birth by new technique

London - A 37-year-old widow has given birth to her husband's child three years after his death, it was disclosed yesterday. The woman was made pregnant with a single sperm cell taken from her husband while he was still alive using a new technique. The husband, who died from a terminal illness, donated his sperm after giving his written consent to its use. It was frozen and stored until his wife decided to try for a baby.
